Chamber of the Gods

A very light, classic "trompe l'oeil" decoration was chosen for the large central hall, later called the "Chamber of the Gods". It consisted of large monochrome figures leaning on the balustrade of a wide loggia with columns, garlands, ribbons and other decorations. The general effect is of a pleasant grandiosity. A large capitonné divan of the last century in the center, and two splendid polychrome consoles witha faun, dragon and foliage are examples of the great quantity of inherited furniture that ended up in Masino from other places, especially from Villa Pliniana, thanks to the marriage in the second hlf of the 19th century between Luigi Valperga and Cristina Trotti Bentivoglio, niece of the famous Cristina di Belgiojoso, who also left many important objects, that can be now seen in Masino. The ballroom

Interno Castello It is one of the most fascinating room of the castle, due to the brightness of the wide windows and the large landscape frescoes, painted in 1730, which contribute with an illusionistic view on the outside. From the ceiling hangs a huge Boemian cristal chandelier.
